The commonest thoracic surgery that we have performed is removal of a lung lobe due to a tumour or other diseases that render the lobe useless. Other operations are Patent Ductus Arteriousus, foreign body retreival, throracic wall trauma or tumour removal. Diaphragmatic hernias would be common.
