Limb Deformity

Limb deformity is a complex problem and we regularly see these cases. Management of these deformities is usually treated by osteotomy and an external frame such as an IIlizarov or ring fixator which may require regular adjustment. The treatment time can be relatively long, but is successful in changing the shape of the limb to a more normal cosmetic and functional position. Such deformties are Carpal/tarsal valgus, carpal/tarsal varus, shortened limbs, torsion of front or hind feet, medial or lateral bowing of long bones, and spinal deformity.
